More snow…

Argh, thursday night over to saturday morning we had one of the worst blizzards in 10 years here in Sweden. At some places it fell over a meter of snow during 24 hours. Airports were closed, households and business being without electric power and clogged roads – I don’t want to think about what would’ve happened if this blizzard hit another country or even more to the south in Sweden.

My area was deemed as “orange” (hehe, yes I know I know), which is the second worst on the scale where “red” is the highest on the scale. When all is over, it wasn’t as bad as expected – though I think that the authorities played it safe this time as the last time there was a major storm here (“Gudrun”) there was no preparations whatsoever.

Read more about the storm here.

Now it’s “back to business” – yippie!!!

Birthday and snow

Today is my birthday, hip hip hooray… or wait a minute – I don’t like my own birthdays. Perhaps this dislike of mine it has to do with the fact that I’m growing a year older and that this fear of growing older could be linked together with the fact that I am one year closer of dying – in my mind. This thought I’ve had since I was 10 years old, so there is nothing new here :) The attached smiley should indicate that I’m not really taking it that seriously – you might say that I’ve always been able to both see the dark of life (perhaps a bit too clear) but also be able to laugh at the very same darkness.

Fitting to this grand day, the first snow fell up here in northern Sweden. Not that I’m a big fan of snow (unlike my Italian friend Anita whom, according to herself, “adore snow” – yeah, you come up here and shovel it and you’ll see how much love you have left ;) ), but I must say that it does make a nice breaking point from the dark and gloomy autumn weather. There is a whole nother light outside with the ground, buildings and trees being covered in white.

While I am writing this post to my blog I am working on a advertising project. It’s a good thing to be doing on a lazy sunday, being creative as well as crunching numbers is a good past-time.

…and oh btw, I’ve restored the (feedburner) email-subscription function in the middle sidebar. So, nothing should stop you from getting my less than daily (unfortunately) ramblings into your email’s inbox ;)

Take care and be good all my bandidos and bandidas!

New theme

I’ve switched themes, now Hypocrisy.nu is using “fUnique” by Fredrik Fahlstad – nice looking theme :)
