A voice in the debate why Nuclear Bunker Busters should not be used
See this flash-animation and make up your mind on if the United States should send Nuclear Bunker Busters towards Iran or not.
From the page:
“This animation depicts a proposed weapon with a one megaton yield. The funding for this weapon was cut in 2005 defense appropriations. However, the United States still has a B61-11 nuclear ‘bunker buster’ in its arsenal which has a 400 kiloton yield, which could still cause hundreds of thousands of deaths and spread radiation to other countries.”

The fallout is a huge problem, but the political fallout woould be even worse as it would make nuclear war permissible. And to be the only country to nuke someone (two countries will be the tally) spells a horrendous step backwards in the history civilization.
Thanks for posting this animation. hadn’t seen it before.
Anyway, my daily political cartoon focused on this issue today and I linked it to your post this morning.
Cheers and thanks for the link!!
What if there would be some kind of realism in both military thinking as well as when it comes to the so call “diplomacy”?!
My take has always been it is cheaper to deploy a dimplomat than the 83nd Airborne. Ya know?
Cheaper for whom?
Depends on if you make money on the ordeal or not… right?!
This is one of the problems with foreign policy, mainly of the United States.
[...] This flash animation gives an overview of what might be happening if these nukes are deployed in Iran (through Hypocrisy weblog). [...]
[...] Is it any wonder that we are blinded on this issue? Or is it really a calculated strategy to purposefully blind our intelligence on Iran so we can fudge more facts and attack with complete disregard of reality? [...]
